We’ve already heard more than one report suggesting that Samsung is preparing a “Lite” variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for release in the first quarter of 2014, but up until now we really have known nothing about what to expect from the handset.
Finally we are learning a bit more thanks to a leaked UAProf (user agent profile) for the SM-N750, which we believe is the 3G variant of the Galaxy Note 3 Lite. The UAProf shows that the Note 3 Lite is currently running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead of KitKat. Beyond that, the UAProf also reveals that the Note 3’s 1080p display is being sacrificed for a cheaper, low-resolution 720p screen.
Just Speculations ! |
The big takeaway is that, between the numerous reports and the existence of this UAProf, it’s looking more and more likely that the Note 3 Lite is more than just a rumor. Then again, nothing is official until Samsung says it is, so take all of this with a grain of salt.
If Samsung can introduce the Note 3 Lite at a fair price while keeping the big 5.7-inch display and the S-Pen, we imagine that this handset could be extremely popular among those looking for a similar experience to the Note but without having to pay a fortune to get it.
What do you think, would you be interested in the Note 3 Lite as a budget alternative or not?
