January 3rd.. The world is now on their heels to see the third season premiere of +Sherlock, the modern-day adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's historic masterpiece. After the devastating events of "The Reichenbach Fall" where Sherlock Holmes commits suicide in the world's view, Benedict Cumberbatch reprises his role as the intrepid detective to once again help his friend John Watson played by Martin Freeman fight the forces of evil.

Sherlock comes to Watson after his apparent suicide
Sherlock season 3 episode 1- You're in for a treat
But for die-hard fans of the great duo, "You're in for a treat"... and no I seriously mean it and am not referring to the name of the first episode of the third season. What I mean is that we are getting the duo on screen before Sherlock 3. On 13th December, The Hobbit 2 is scheduled for release and it will feature both Martin and Benedict. In the prequel to the legendary 'The Lord of the Rings' triology, 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey', we saw Martin Freeman take on the role of Bilbo Baggins in the events that occured before the LOTR storyline.

Now in Hobbit 2, Martin continues his role, while Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Smaug the terrible(for those who dont know, Smaug is a dragon who captured the dwarven city of Erebor). It sure will be interesting to see the on-screen chemistry now when Martin is the protagonist and Benedict is playing the vicious and savage Smaug.
